Easy Honey is a four-man Rock band reigning from Charleston, South Carolina and originally based out of Sewanee, Tennessee.

I’m sure you’ll be glad to hear that this article will be little bit short, simply for the fact that I cannot find any information on these guys. I mean I guessss that gives me more space to talk about the music without it being too wordy, but I take pride in feeling like I know the artist I’m listening to.
One thing I was able to find out is that they each carry around a bottle of honey because… Well I actually don’t know why but they do 🤷🏽♂️.
I discovered the band because I came across their song “Like Glue” . Definitely one of my favorite songs of 2020. It’s a heart-pumping, head-thumping, body-jumping upbeat banger. It’s super fulfilling, giving the listeners a really fun experience to hear and to “play” along to (I’ll explain later). It also has an amazing guitar interlude. It’s a classic in my books.
Disclaimer: this is their best song, but that’s okay considering how good it is.
When I first heard it, I just assumed that they were a mainstream success because of how good the song was, BUT I was sadly mistaken. These guys have less followers on Instagram than me, and they don’t even have a Wikipedia page. So not only am I putting you on to an amazing group, but you can also be one of their day 1 fans, that’s a rare opportunity.
Getting into their music, if gun to my head, I had to describe them in one phrase, off the dome, it would be: “Garage Band.” They’re like that local band in movies or tv shows that plays small gigs but their music slaps. That’s how I envision their music. And just because they’re a local band in this hypothetical, doesn’t mean they can’t make it big. They can, they’re good.
My favorite setting to play them is definitely when I’m by myself cooking in the kitchen at 2AM or later.
As you can see, I’m a big fan………….…… of making a fool out of myself.
Just to be completely frank, when I listen to any band style music like this, I don’t really listen to the lyrics. They could be speaking a different language and I wouldn’t know (not literally). Even when I’ve heard the song enough times to be able to sing the lyrics, I still don’t really know what they’re saying. I’m kinda just repeating what I’m hearing, like a little kid almost.
I don’t have an explanation for this, I just don’t. Maybe because I don’t relate? Maybe I’m distracted by the sick instruments in the background? Maybe I just don’t care? Who knows, but I still like it either way.
Since I’m not really listening to the lyrics, I’m usually judging the song based off the instrumental composition and the instrument solos. However, just because I’m not necessarily comprehending the message, doesn’t mean the singer is unnecessary. It’s actually quite the opposite, he’s absolutely essential. I still listen to the sound of the voice and how it fits and progresses through the song. I wouldn’t say that singing is their strong suit, but it always complements the vibe of the song and goes along with their garage band schema. It just sounds “bandy.” I really sat here for like 10 minutes trying to think of a word to describe it and that was the best I could come up with… but I think it works.
My favorite part of their songs are the guitar solos, and they have one in every song. It’s my favorite part of the genre in general and they have some really cool and creative ones. I love instrument solos for two reasons: I think it’s amazing for someone to be able to compose a story without saying any words, it gives the instrument and/or the performer recognition, and it just sounds dope. Throughout all genres of music the people who make the beat, or the instrumental, or whatever don’t get nearly enough credit. They literally make the song, stop playin wit em.
The four-man group is made up of two guitarists who both are the vocalist, a bass, and a drummer, and that’s the make-up of all of their songs. There’s never another instrument. Ever. In all of the songs I’ve heard they’ve never even had a feature. This is definitely unusual for me at least, and you would think that it would lead to their songs being repetitive, but they’re not. They do a really good job of making each song unique and a fun listen.
Not really much else to say about these guys, but to summarize: they’re a really talented garage band, have some dope guitar solos, you could be one of their first fans… oh and they’re fun to cook to. What more could you want?

But yeah… If you’re into this style of music give them a listen, and maybe a follow on the gram because they definitely could use it (@easyhoneymusic). And even if you’re not, step out of your comfort zone! You might like it; stranger things have happened.
If you’ve read this far, you’re a real one. I apologize if this article isn’t up to par with the others, I’m really just not as well versed in this type of music but I’m trying!
