Imagine, in your moment of death light grazes your eye for the very first time. Is this the fate of every soul? It was today for my enemy. One by one. Gun by gun. Down they fell. Ton by ton.
My empathy stretched to an eternal level. Showing me a realm where there truly is no light. Everything else, is simply grey. God sees all light, and He’s showing me too.
Well, I guess that makes me the light eater huh? Having light, to take light. Only giving me more light. Ya ever put two lighter flames together? With each kill I accept a Victory and they accept defeat. But still, the light they receive in their demise will diminish mine to a point of unrecognition. While I, fall lower and lower on the grey scale.

“The border’s just ahead.” – H. S.
Yeah, I felt it. And every other sense you could associate with it. Good words from The Holy Spirit.
Safe house was beyond that border. And when God freed me from my captivity, it became a promised land.
Sparks rained on innocent foliage, while my disregard thundered through my enemy. Necessary sacrifices, I saw them as. Because what they stood in the way of was my real freedom: Never having to kill again.
Unleashed on all fours I sprinted through the forest. Terror at large. Nothing tame about it. Encased by lightning. Enthralled in His glory. On the run. On the hunt. But in the chase.
While just as primal, I’m no animal. While just as savvy, I’m no hunter. I kill, simply, because death breeds for greater life.

“Behind you.” – H. S.
“LIGHTNING SWEEP”
“Above.”
“AUURRGHHH” I released, as I bit off a chunk of neck.
“They’re attacking at once.”
RIGHT SLASH. LEFT ROUNDHOUSE. HEADBUUUUTTTT.
“YOU CANT HOLD MEEEE.”
Ferocious grab for the hea- no, countered. Now cornered. DAMNIT. They’re closing in. My defense penetrated. Puncture wound. Puncture wound. Puncture wound. I’m leaking. At this rate, my life force will deplete at any moment. Defeat, welling in my eyes. But flooding in everywhere else was something much stronger. Much more flammable. Pain.
“ENOOOUUUUGGGHHHH!!”
*JYAAAHH* sounded off my lightning, now burning in agony. Scorching everything in its wake.
Super-sonic to the border I was charged. Incinerating everything touched. Vision tunneled. Completely engulfed. But aware. Finally aware, of what I had to do.

The land I sought teemed with delicate life. Basking in its own safe place. Shying from destruction. But yet, it would readily house Destruction itself.
There’s balance, and there’s polarity. Hatred and hilarity. One way or another.. we could all use a little scarcity.

At my point of immersion I halted. Joyfully grimacing at the grace of the border’s heat. The proximity quenched me, and in the moment, I wanted no more or no less. Heaven.
Heroic smiles were my favorite. One where I knew I was being pitied, but in reality I was being freed. That smile brings a feeling that’s unmatched. Not gold. Not pink. Not blue. Not White. Not even grey. But black. Because just as you reach the lowest point on the grey scale, it becomes dark enough to see the faintest level of light: the truth.
–
Once gold, always navy, now black. When you’ve seen what’s ahead, you’ll never go back.
Mind, soul, and claws covered in death, I plunged it all into my heart. Breeding life for my world. Sepuku by the sword of my own flesh.

There is no Victory without defeat. But the ultimate Victory, is defeat
